Montpelier Field Hockey Sophomore Forward
The second-year starter scored four goals for the Solons last Friday during a 5-0 victory over Stowe. She finished off three assists from classmate Emily Tringe during a dizzying three-minute stretch in the fourth quarter to slam the door on any thoughts of a comeback attempt by the Raiders. Montpelier wound up with a 17-0 advantage on corners while earning its first shutout of the season and extending its winning streak to 12 games, dating back to the midway point of last season. Walke kicked off her 2023 campaign with a three-goal performance in a 6-1 victory over Lyndon and a two-goal effort during a 4-1 win at Milton. Montpelier will travel to play Springfield at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
