Pundits in the liberal media are all aflame over the threat of Trump’s re-election and the demise of our democratic republic. While I certainly agree regarding the threat to our 200+-year-old democracy that Trump does pose, I am also under the strong belief that the Democratic Party is also, and perhaps equally, a threat to our democracy. For, if you will recall, it was the Democratic standard bearer, Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump due to the presumption she was entitled to be president.
Now the Democratic Party has put all their marbles behind an ancient Biden who believes he is entitled to be the one who can beat Trump.. And that is a true threat to our democracy.
The Democratic Party must present us with a candidate who has the charisma and political savviness to not only defy Trump for the threat he obviously presents but also can bring voters into the Democratic fold in such numbers that Trump has little to no chance of winning.
The Democratic Party can move from being an equal threat to our democracy by offering the voters a clear choice who can defeat Trump rather than Biden and the ancient mariner he is so easily seems to be.
