Indoor Track and Field/Basketball
Limited practice time didn't stop Richardson from capturing the top prize during the throwing portion of indoor track and field championships. She set a new personal record with a heave of 10.8 meters in shot put, good enough to easily hold off White River's Eleanor Prestiridge (9.63 meters) in the D-II competition. Richardson's throw was more than a meter farther than Essex's Tess Adams, who won the D-I crown with a mark of 9.69 meters. Richardson was also a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court, providing key upperclass leadership and scoring eight points during a 38-31 loss to Division II powerhouse Spaulding. She was sharp again vs. Oxbow, recording 14 points and four rebounds during a 45-40 setback.
