Democrat Shenna Bellows, Maine’s secretary of state, recently decided to remove Donald Trump’s name from the ballot. I find this highly ironic. In 2020, when Ms. Bellows announced on Twitter that she had voted for Joe Biden, she included the hashtag #LetThePeopleDecide. So the people should decide except when it comes to politicians she’s opposed to? That doesn’t sound very democratic to me.
It’s obvious what's going on. Just as with the Colorado Supreme Court ruling removing Trump from the ballot, Bellows stayed her own decision, giving the final say to the Supreme Court.
