Virginia (Kehoe) Caswell BERLIN — Virginia (Kehoe) Caswell, 92, died January 1, from Covid, at Chestnut Place, Berlin, VT, with her daughter, Jane, and son-in-law, Richard Boltax at her side. Prior to Chestnut Place, she lived for five years at The Gardens, Williamstown, VT. A long time resident of Andover, MA, Virginia was born December 17, 1931 in Lawrence, 9, the daughter of Almeda (Retelle) and C. Francis Kehoe. Virginia graduated from Lawrence High School, McIntosh Business School, and took courses at Merrimack College. She was an administrative assistant in the Andover Schools for many years. Upon retirement, Virginia shared her love of learning with young students as a classroom volunteer. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church, Andover, MA, before moving to VT to be closer to Jane. Virginia was a proud and stylish woman, who will be remembered as a generous and supportive daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She especially enjoyed time at the beach with her family, and was an accomplished seamstress and bargain shopper. She was also fond of gardening, yoga, travel and feeding the birds. The widow of John H. Caswell, Virginia will be sorely missed by her daughters, Jane Caswell and husband, Richard Boltax of Berlin, VT and Beth Puleo and husband, David of TX; sister and brother-in-law, Fran and Jim Johnson; brother, Daniel Kehoe; her sister-in-law, Vivian Caswell; grandchildren, Jonathan and Alyssa Puleo, Avery (Carrie) Roberts, Hillary Roberts (Ki Brown), Clifford (Rachel) Roberts; and great grandchildren, Sullivan and Molly Kate Roberts and Eden Virginia Brown; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Virginia was also grandmother to the late Joshua Puleo. Virginia’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Chestnut Place Memory Care and Central VT Home Health & Hospice, especially Nurse Jen Hoffert, for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Debbie Hickory for her friendship and exemplary care and support during Virginia’s time in VT. A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date in Andover, MA.
